Helping Men Recover

The GRE Team facilitates thought-provoking trainings of the groundbreaking curriculum, Helping Men Recover. The curriculum was just revised in 2022 and is now 21 sessions with new exercises and infused with insights the authors have gained in the 10+ years since they first introduced their work. HMR is based upon Dan Griffin’s masters research and Dr. Stephanie Covington’s pioneering work, Helping Women Recover.

***Helping Men Recover integrates theories of addiction, trauma, and male psychosocial development. Our trainings review the theory as well as provide guidance for the facilitator in teaching this unique material. The main focus of the training is on the interactive exercises drawn from the curriculum.***

Our trainings cover the principles of Men’s Integrated Treatment and one or multi-day trainings on the curriculum:

Half-Day with administrators, staff, and other invitees to outline framework for men’s treatment services and key issues for implementation.

The Four-Day Training–provides an opportunity for staff to got through exercises from all 21 sessions, get feedback from their colleagues and the authors.
